DIY Photo Gift Labels

If you're looking for a (very) last minute but cute idea to pimp your gift wrapping, look no further!
Here's how you make your own personalized gift labels.

What you need:
- Wooden gift labels
- Transfer medium gel
- Photos
- Sponge
- Fixation spray

1. Choose your labels and lay them next to each other. Cut out your photos so that they have the right size to fit on those labels.

2. Take your transfer medium gel and apply an even layer of the gel on both the label and the photo.

3. Place the photo on the label, the ink facing down. Let it dry or use a hairdryer. Make sure there are no air bubbles! They will ruin your photo.

4. Once completely dry, take a sponge and rub off the paper, revealing the photo underneath. This might take a while and has to be done in different stages. Rub off the first layer and then wait a while, you'll see a white haze coming back. It took me 3 to 4 times to get off all the excess paper.

5. Add a layer of fixation spray (or an extra layer of transfer medium gel), to fixate the colors and make it shine.

While the 4th step is a bit messy, this DIY is quite easy! Now you have a very personal way of giving your presents to your loved ones. And the labels also can be used as a cute Christmas tree ornament!

Simple Christmas Wall Decoration

Hi guys, here's a quick, cute idea how to decorate that empty space on your wall, Christmas style!

All you need are some twigs, a little green branch and some ornaments of your choice. Take a roll of twine, cut off three pieces and use it to attach the twigs to each other so that they form a triangle (a Christmas tree shape!). Hang the green in the middle and add some small Christmas decorations. And that's that! Enjoy your home made wall decoration.

If wrapping gifts isn't your biggest talent, you're probably already worried about all those Christmas presents that are in need of a festive paper. But no more worries! I've found a video that explains you how to wrap a gift in only 12 seconds. The only thing you need to do is follow the steps shown in the video and make sure that the ends of the wrapping paper always reach the corners of the box.

Shooting Star Christmas Decoration

I'm a real sucker for Christmas and the decorations, presents and spirit that come with it. Our tree is up, our house is decorated, but what about outside? Here's an awesome idea to bring light and that whole Christmas spirit into your yard.

Here's what you need:
- thick wire
- pliers
- Christmas lights (lots of them!)

First, shape the wire in the form of a star by bending it with the pliers. Then, take the lights and attach them to the star, so that they take the same form.

Once your star is formed and lighted up, go outside and find a tree. The star goes in the tree, while you take the rest of the lights to form the tail. This tail should consist of 5 of 6 strands of lights: all attached at one and the same point on the star, and on the other side divided over the length of another tree or a pole.

And that's it! Just light it up and enjoy your beautiful Christmas shooting star.

Sequin Letter T-Shirt

I'm a sucker for everything sparkly and personalized. This project is awesome, because it is both! Here's how you make a monogrammed T-shirt using sequin trim.

I chose the letter W, of course you can make any letter or word you'd like! I'm thinking now I'm going to retry this project in a few weeks, with a whole word or short sentence, not quite sure yet. Anyway, be creative!

Here's what you need:
- Sequin trim
- T-shirt
- Fabric glue
- Printout of your letter
- Scissors
- Needle and thread
- Piece of chalk

First, cut the letter out of your printout, then draw the letter on your T-shirt using a piece of chalk.

Once drawn, try the T-shirt on for a moment. Just to check that the letter is where you want it to be. Sometimes it is difficult to visualize without.

Next, trace the chalk line with the fabric glue. Read the bottle before using, every glue is different. Mine had to dry for a minute before applying anything on it.

Now for the fun part. And the messy part. Take your sequins and set them onto the glue. Press down a little. Follow all the way until you've reached the end of the letter.

You can see that the letter is quite thin, not as bold as I'd want it to be. So I applied a second line of sequins right next to it. To do so, make a U-turn at the end of the letter and trace right back, do not cut the trim in two! Make sure that the two rows overlap a bit for the prettiest result.

After you're sure the glue has dried up (I waited a whole day just to be absolutely sure), take out your needle and thread. I wanted to have the extra security that the letter was durable, so next to the glue I sowed the letter to the shirt. Since it is already glued, no need to do this perfectly. After that, cut off any last strands of string from the sequin trim, wipe away the chalk and check if everything is in place.

And there you have it, your own sequin letter T-shirt!
Hope you enjoy making this fun DIY. Don't hesitate to let me know how yours turned out!

I went on holiday a few weeks ago, to one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Lac d'Annecy, the Lake of Annecy, in the east of France. I really wanted to share the experience and mostly some of the pictures I took there.

Spotted as a new fall trend, is this original way to wear your scarf this season. Use a cute belt to hold the scarf in place in front of you. It's almost like wearing a blouse! It's the perfect way to overcome these colder days without digging up those winter jackets just yet. See here some examples of how it's done.

Cheap Monday Pop Up Antwerp

10:48 PM

The Swedish jeans brand Cheap Monday celebrated their tenth anniversary in an original way!

The concept was really simple but symbolic. At 10am local time today – the 10th day of the 10th calendar month – the brand handed out 1.000 pairs of jeans in Antwerp, just as they did in nine more cities like for example Hong Kong and Madrid. Just a 10 minute pop-up in 10 world cities handing out 10.000 pairs of jeans! That's how you celebrate fashion!

It was so cool, we never thought twice whether we would attend this lovely pop-up event. Unfortunately, there were so many enthusiastic people and such an excited crowd that not one of us actually managed tot get one of these pairs of jeans within the 10 minutes. We were quite disappointed with the fact we didn't get our jeans. However it was a lovely concept!

Early Halloween Inspiration

2:57 PM
Comments (0)
Being the second week of October already, Halloween is only a good three weeks away! I'm a real sucker for it, so I'm already searching for inspiration online. Candy, food, decorations, costumes... There's something really special about Halloween, if you ask me. Too bad that here in Belgium, people don't celebrate it like in other parts of the world. We don't all dress up to go trick-or-treating and decorate our entire house. At most, we carve a pumpkin and watch a scary movie. Still, I love it. So I wanted to share with you what I've already found. Enjoy! If you have any tips or tricks to make this year's Halloween, the best Halloween ever, please let me know and leave a comment!

1) Decorate your house or garden with scary eyes! This is a project I did last year. Click here to find the tutorial.

2) Why only carve pumpkins?

3) Candy Apple Ghosts

 4) Gravestone Cookies

 5) Guacamole Barfing Pumpkin

6) Owl Cookies

7) Window Decorations

8) Spider Eggs

9) Pumpkin Inception
