Hand Stamped Jewelry

With the birthday of Annelies coming up, I knew I had to find something special to create. Last year I made her this awesome Cluedo game. This year, I wanted to make a gift that was both personal and could be enjoyed every day. After some searching, I found a way to make hand stamped jewelry!
It's easier to make than you might think.

Here's what you need to get started:
- hammer
- letter stamps
- stamping block
- stamping blanks
- necklace chain, clasp and rings

Take your stamping block (or a hard surface) and place a stamping blank on it. Tape it on the top and/or the bottom so it won't move while you're stamping. Lay out your word with the letter stamps first, so you don't miss a letter while stamping, or mess up the order.

And now you're ready to begin! Take your hammer, hold your letter stamp right where you want it and completely vertical, and hit away. I always hit the stamp twice: the second time a little harder than the first time. This way, your letters come through nicely, without messing it up. If you hit it a few more times, you have the possible problem that the stamp has moved slightly and you end up with more than one impression of that letter.

And there you have it! Personalized, hand stamped jewelry. You can make a necklace, bracelet or even a key chain.

Loved it so much, made one for myself as well!

For Annelies, I went all out and made her a necklace, bracelet and key chain, along with some extra pendants so she can change things up!

Let me know what you think, and how yours turned out!

Love, Laetitia
