If you still want to hold on to the last weeks of summer, and hopefully still have the weather to do so, I have a fun kitchen DIY for you.
I'll show you how to make infused ice cubes! All you need is water, some fruit and/or herbs of your choice and an ice cube tray. This is really an easy way to make cocktails even more fun - if that's even possible! You can also use these ice cubes to make infused water, a healthier but delicious alternative for your daily dose of soda.
For my ice cubes, I chose a mix of red berries, mint and lime.
Cut (if needed) your ingredients in little pieces, so they fit in the ice cube tray. Divide them randomly in the tray and fill up with water.
Tip: herbs like the mint I used will float. Only fill the cup halfway and add the rest of the water a day later, to make sure that the herbs are in the middle of the ice cube and not at the top.
Another tip: use bottled water instead of tap water for your ice cubes. They will be clearer this way!
Which ingredients would you use? Let us know!
