Santa Claus Gift Tags

If you're as excited as I am about the upcoming holidays, you are probably already shopping for Christmas presents. We've set up and decorated our Christmas tree today, and to me it's a must that from day one, there are some presents under it.

As the weeks before the holidays go by and the gifts multiply, it gets harder and harder to remember which present is which. You don't want to accidentally give the pink fluffy socks you got for your grandmother to your younger brother! That's where gift tags come in handy.

Since you probably want these tags to be as cute as the presents and the tree itself, the gift tags can use some creativity.

Here's how you can make Santa Claus gift tags!

What you need:
- soda can tabs
- black ribbon
- red paper / gift tags
- stick on pearls or diamonds
- scissors
- duct tape
- hole punch
- other ribbon

Making these is so easy, it only takes about two minutes to make one!

Firstly, cut your red paper in the desired shape and a piece of black ribbon that is approximately twice the length of your paper shape. Take the soda can tab and put the ribbon though the tab, creating a belt for your little Santa.

Take a piece of duct tape and simply attach the belt to the shape. Use the duct tape on the back. Leave a bit of room above, where you place the buttons of the Santa outfit.

Punch a hole on the top side of the gift tag and hang the tag with a piece of ribbon on your gift. On the back of the gift tag is room for you to write the name of your loved one.

What do you think?

Happy shopping and decorating!
